The short version
6sense is the most complete intent-plus-activation platform for enterprise B2B teams. It combines third-party intent (a Bombora partnership plus its own proprietary web-content crawl), first-party website de-anonymization, a contact database, and a predictive model that places every account in a buying stage from Awareness to Decision. It then lets marketing run ads and sales work accounts from the same system. It holds a 4.4/5 on G2 for the marketing product at time of writing, offers a free tier for sales users, and prices its paid platform on custom annual contracts.
It is the right answer if you want one vendor to own the whole problem. It is the wrong answer if you already have a data stack and just need the signal, because you will pay platform prices for a feed.

What 6sense does
6sense's pitch is that intent data on its own is a list, and what you actually need is a ranked list of accounts with a predicted stage and a way to act on it. The platform starts with account identification: it resolves anonymous website visitors and third-party research activity to a company using its own IP-to-account graph. It then layers in intent from multiple sources, including the Bombora co-op and its own proprietary crawl of B2B web content, which 6sense positions as covering research that Bombora's publisher network does not.
On top of that sits the predictive model. 6sense trains on your CRM's closed-won and closed-lost history to estimate where each account is in its buying journey and how likely it is to buy. Accounts move through Awareness, Consideration, Decision and Purchase stages, and the model output drives segments that marketing uses for advertising and sales uses for prioritization.
Activation is native. 6sense runs display advertising on its own network, pushes audiences to LinkedIn and Meta, orchestrates records into Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo, and gives reps a workspace with contact data and alerts. Since 2022 it has also sold Conversational Email, an AI email agent, and its Revenue AI for Sales product bundles a contact database that competes with ZoomInfo.
Pricing model
6sense publishes a pricing page with four tiers: a Free plan for sales users with a limited monthly credit allowance for contact and account data, and Team, Growth and Enterprise plans that are quoted on request. The free plan is genuinely useful for a rep who wants to see which accounts are surging and pull a few contacts, but it does not include the marketing platform, advertising or the full predictive model.
Paid contracts are custom. G2 reviewers and public procurement commentary place mid-market deals in the high five figures annually and enterprise deals in the six figures, with advertising spend billed on top. The largest cost drivers are the number of platform users, the number of accounts under management, and which modules (Sales, Marketing, Conversational Email, data credits) are included. Our intent data pricing page and the sister site 6sensealternatives.com/6sense-pricing cover this in more depth.
Strengths
End-to-end in one system. Identification, intent, prediction, advertising, orchestration and a sales workspace under one login. For teams without a mature stack, that is a real reduction in integration work.
Predictive stages that sales actually uses. The buying-stage model is the feature G2 reviewers cite most often. A rep who sees "Decision stage, surging on three keywords, visited pricing twice" knows what to do; a rep who sees a Bombora topic score of 72 often does not.
Multiple intent sources blended. Bombora, proprietary crawl, first-party site data, and review-site integrations feed the same model, which reduces the false positives you get from any single source.
Scale. 6sense is one of the two dominant enterprise ABM platforms (Demandbase is the other) with a large customer base and a mature partner ecosystem.
Weaknesses
Price and contract rigidity. 6sense is expensive, sold on annual or multi-year terms, and the most common negative G2 review theme is cost relative to realized value, particularly for mid-market teams. Metadata.io, our disclosed sponsor, runs a public 6sense buyout program aimed squarely at that dissatisfaction, and the sister site 6sensealternatives.com exists for the same reason.
Operational load. Getting value from the predictive model requires clean CRM history, a configured keyword set, a deployed website tag and someone whose job is to run the platform. Reviewers who lack that headcount describe the platform as underused.
Black-box scoring. The predictive model is proprietary. You can see the stage and the contributing signals, but you cannot fully audit why an account moved, which some RevOps teams find hard to defend internally.
Advertising is not its strongest module. 6sense's display network is competent, but teams that care most about paid-media performance across LinkedIn, Meta and Google often pair it with, or replace that piece with, a dedicated activation platform. Metadata's vs-6sense page makes that argument, and its Forrester TEI study documents the published ROI figures; treat both as sponsor-authored.
Best-fit customer profile
| Good fit | Poor fit |
|---|---|
| Enterprise and upper mid-market teams with a dedicated RevOps or marketing-ops owner for the platform | Teams under roughly 50 marketing and sales staff without someone to run it |
| Companies with enough closed-won history to train a predictive model | Early-stage companies with little CRM history; the model has nothing to learn from |
| Teams that want intent, prediction and sales workspace in one contract | Teams that already own a CDP, ad platform and sales-engagement tool and only need a feed (see Bombora) |
| Sales teams that want account alerts and contacts in one place | Buyers whose primary goal is paid-media performance rather than sales prioritization |
Our verdict
6sense is the best all-in-one intent platform for enterprise teams that have the budget and the operational headcount to run it, and the predictive buying-stage model remains the single most useful thing it does. It is over-built and over-priced for teams that just need a signal, and its advertising module is the most replaceable part of the package. If you are choosing between 6sense and a raw feed, read Bombora vs 6sense; if you are choosing between 6sense and Demandbase, the deciding factor is usually whether prediction or advertising matters more to you.
Frequently asked questions
How much does 6sense cost?
6sense offers a free plan for sales users with limited monthly credits. Paid Team, Growth and Enterprise plans are priced on request. Public G2 reviews and procurement commentary place typical paid contracts in the high five figures to six figures annually, with advertising spend billed separately.
Does 6sense use Bombora data?
Yes. 6sense has a Bombora partnership and blends Bombora topic data with its own proprietary web-content intent, first-party website data and review-site integrations inside its predictive model.
Is there a free version of 6sense?
Yes. 6sense's Free plan gives individual sales users limited credits for account and contact data and visibility into surging accounts. It does not include the marketing platform, advertising or the full predictive model.
What is 6sense's G2 rating?
6sense Revenue AI for Marketing holds a 4.4 out of 5 on G2 at time of writing, as does Revenue AI for Sales. Live scores and review counts are on the G2 pages linked in the sources.
What are the main alternatives to 6sense?
Demandbase is the closest full-platform alternative. Bombora is the raw-feed alternative for teams that already have activation tools. Metadata.io, our disclosed sponsor, positions itself as the paid-media activation alternative and publishes a comparison and buyout program; the sister site 6sensealternatives.com covers the broader field.
How long does 6sense take to implement?
Public reviewer commentary and 6sense's own onboarding materials describe a multi-week to multi-month rollout: deploying the website tag, connecting CRM and marketing automation, configuring keywords, and training the predictive model on historical opportunity data.
